It’s been more than 18 months since the pandemic started. It’s not just in the Philippines because across the world we’ve managed to witness companies and businesses suffer. Despite all of that, some are still striving to do their best to survive.
COVID-19 is a terrible thing. It has shown us to be more prepared for the future in a lot of ways. As a result, some things are inevitably going to change, and it will be there for a long time. This is what we call a new normal, and to be frank, we need these new norms to fix some big problems.
If we ask every company about their plan, how will they be able to cope and survive during this pandemic, the best possible answer could be “TO ADAPT”. As Charles Darwin quoted,
ROBOTS ARE ALSO ESSENTIAL FOR BUSINESSES
Robots are quickly becoming a new norm for retail and supply chain businesses. The COVID-19 crisis is inspiring more and more business leaders to take a serious look at robots and how they can help keep supply chains robust and efficient while reducing risk during pandemics and other challenging times.
Recently, some establishments in the Philippines are learning and starting to embrace these high-tech A.I. robots, as a non-human contact solution or a “contactless solution” in preventing the spread of the virus to humans and within the establishment. Here are some of the robots that are currently being used by some organizations and businesses, globally.

Dental Clinic in China using disinfection robot, disinfecting rooms
Restaurant in Singapore using Dish collector robot

The “right-now” plan and solution for businesses is to adopt these new technologies to improve their operations amidst pandemics. On the other hand, MySolutions, a leading solutions provider in the Philippines, is excited to finally launch another much-awaited smart solution that will solve the challenges in maintaining non-essential human contact and disinfection within business establishments, particularly in restaurants, hotels resorts & casinos, healthcare facilities, manufacturing factories, public transportation, and corporate offices, in a “robotified” way, which will be an essential solution for businesses even after the pandemic.

CONCLUSION
During this pandemic, as the majority of employers around the world are preparing to automate work, institutionalize remote work, and digitize work processes, certain jobs are at risk. But this doesn’t necessarily mean that many will be left unemployed. The upside is we can leave the repetitive, degrading, or dangerous tasks to the robots, while we take on the safer, more important jobs, of which there will be a net increase of 58 million as a result of automation, according to a prediction released by the World Economic Forum in February 2021. – Manila Bulletin
As stated by Suraj Muraje of McKinsey & Company Manila in his article “Seizing the automation opportunity in Philippines”,
“Players who are able to integrate new technologies more quickly will reap greater economic rewards. To capture the benefits of automation, business leaders in the Philippines will need to reconfigure entire business processes.”
